MEET ABENA BUSIA, DAUGHTER OF FORMAL GHANA'S PRIME MINISTER

 Meet Abena Busia, the Daughter of Dr. Kofi Abrefa Busia, Ghana's prime minister from 1969-1972.


Abena Busia is a Ghanaian academic, poet, and cultural critic. She is a professor of English at Rutgers University in the United States and has taught at various institutions worldwide. 



Abena Busia has published several collections of poetry, including "Testimonies of Exile" and "The Seasons of Beento Blackbird". 


She is also the co-editor of "Theorizing Black Feminisms: The Visionary Pragmatism of Black Women". Busia's work explores themes of identity, culture, and belonging. 


In July 2017, President Nana Akuffo-Addo named Abena Busia as Ghana's ambassador to Brazil. She was among 22 other distinguished Ghanaians who were named to head various diplomatic Ghanaian missions in the world.
