 Some communities which it original names were changed during the europeans presence


The arrival of Europeans in Ghana brought a lot of changes such as introduction of New region,new system of education among others.

Also some communities original names were changed by the Europeans these include;

1.Oguaa(cape coast): The first capital of Ghana before it 

 was moved to Accra. .The original name was Oguaa



2.Akyinfo(Salt Pond)The home of Ghana of Ghana politics because it the first and second political parties were formed in Akyinfo which is now Saltpond."Akyin" means "salt" and "fo" means people it literally means people with Salt  so they changed it to Saltpond that is people with salt.



3.Simpa(Winneba)The people who celebrate the "Aboakyer" festival were known as Simpa but later 

changed to "Winni bey"and now winneba.




4. ( Edina) Elimina 


When the Europeans arrived,they first settled in Edina but due to difference language they were not able to pronounce it so instead of Edina they were pronoucing it Elimina

 Ben Carson was born on September 18, 1951, in Detroit, Michigan.  He was raised by his single mother, Sonya Carson, who greatly supported his education. Initially struggled academically but showed significant improvement after restricting TV time and promoting reading.  Carson graduated from Yale University in 1973 and the University of Michigan Medical School in 1977. He interned at Johns Hopkins Hospital and later became the first African American neurosurgery resident there.  Known for pioneering pediatric neurosurgery, he achieved remarkable feats like separating conjoined twins.    Carson retired from the medical field in 2013. He ventured into politics by running for the Republican presidential nomination in 2016. He served as the 17th Secretary of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) under President Donald Trump from 2017 to 2021. Ben Carson's life exemplifies perseverance, hard work, and faith. He remains a significant figure in American politics and the medical community.
